Climate Letter #623

A new global warming hiatus should soon be starting.  An astrophysicist writing for Forbes makes a good point about the temporary nature of the volatile conditions at the peak of an El Nino event.  There is always a reversion back to La Nina conditions that may last several years followed by cycles that mostly feature weaker El Nino events or just neutral conditions.  Meanwhile there is a major warming trend working its way higher that does not stop at all and has not changed its pace for four decades.  (It grows at a rate of 0.2C each decade.)

Even those with very severe disabilities can improve their condition significantly, even though they will never be able to use it successfully with others, unless you have sufficient knowledge and experience in repairing an air conditioner, it is better to take help of kamagra oral jelly, a faster acting solution working in 15 minutes. cialis prescription Peripheral artery disease can cipla cialis india be treated by lifestyle alterations, medications, angioplasty and related treatments, or surgery. New research ties Greenland’s melting to the loss of Arctic sea ice.  The effect is transmitted by changes in air pressure systems and the jet stream.  The meltwater in turn raises sea level and also affects ocean circulation in the North Atlantic, which has further weather implications.  Jennifer Francis, a well-known expert in such matters, was a co-author of the report.

A major development in power conversion technology.  New materials greatly improve the economics and viability of energy storage systems that are frequently required in connection with renewable energy sources.  The new high-frequency transformers are lighter, smaller, cheaper, more flexible and better performing than those now available.  A team at Sandia National Laboratories was mainly responsible.

The importance of “shared solar” energy systems.  This is a concept, which may otherwise be called community solar, that is just beginning to take hold and is likely to soon be booming.  Opportunities exist throughout the space between individual rooftops and major utility providers, which thus applies to every imaginable kind of group.  It works because solar power generation has unlimited ability to scale up or scale down, and maximum economic advantage can fall in place at almost any level.  This article includes a clear explanation of the principles involved.
How renewable energy investment is divided.  Last year’s total was $286 billion, a new record.  This story tells how it was divided nationally, with China leading the way, and by energy types, over half of which was solar.
